Beaches along the Promenade des Anglais in Nice, Francce

The beaches along the Promenade des Anglais in Nice, France are definitely not a place where you can feel the sand run through your toes. The beach is composed mainly of rocks and pebbles with patches of sand. I was at this beach in June and the water was very calm and blue. However, if you are looking for beach serenity, maybe this isn’t the place. Topless sunbathers are everywhere. The French are very comfortable in their birthday suits! They’ll even walk up to the beach bars topless! Jet liners can be heard taking off at intervals. The beach itself is very busy. Lots of people. The Promenade des Anglais, is a four-lane road that runs along the beach and is full of buses and cars. However, this is the place in South France to see and be seen. As you peer into the Mediterranean Sea, you see yachts dotting the horizon and people everywhere sip expensive cocktails in their designer suits.
