Pensacola and pensacola beach have a lot to offer - on the mainland there are plenty of galleries or there was a couple of yrs ago.

On the island are lots of shops and some very beautiful beaches - it is a place you can access w/o the expense and fuss of a passport. all you need is a car and some swim suits - lots of fun cloths to buy once you are there to get out of the northern drab culture.

The down town (palafox)as well as some of the other streets has a slight new orleans flare to it with ornate wrought iron work on some of the balconies.
