My religion

My religion

My religion

The clouds above dance in unison with the tides and together is where dreams are created and washed ashore waiting to be discovered.............As a child we migrated to the beach from morning till the sun was setting and still I long for more. Now I have returned to the one true religion- the only temple l ever need, that of my ancestors. Letting the waters wash my soul and renew my faith while collecting treasures that lay at my feet as walk toward the sun.

Beach Religion
by: Janna

Going to the beach is like reconnecting with my source, my maker. Getting into the ocean feels like submerging myself in the greater part of me. The sound of waves call to the depths of my soul is a way that only another beach worshiper understands. Even though I may only be one drop in that vast ocean or even one grain of sand, I feel most powerful at the beach because I'm connected and joined with more of who I am and hope to be.
The Ocean, Sand and Waves give me more peace than I ever imagined was possible...it renews, rejuvenates and heals something deep within me. I love it.

My Evil Plan
by: Amy Beach-Therapy.com

Folks either get Beach-Therapy.com or they think I am a counselor of some sort (out of principal I will not try to explain it here).

I just could not resist sharing this slide-show because I know many other Beach-Therapy.com readers will completely understand his message, especially those who understand how the beach could be compared to someone's religion.

That is probably why I enjoyed this Fast Company slide-show about Hugh MacLeod's Evil Plan so much. Not only do I like his humor and art, I also identified strongly with a need to launch my own Evil Plan.

He very simply captures experiences I have had regarding mainstream resistance to living an alternative lifestyle. I am sure many of my
Site Build It colleges can also appreciate MacLeod's approach to life.

Beach-Therapy connections
by: Amy - Beach-Therapy.com

I am transformed in a very basic human way when I am at the beach. It is so easy to feel there must be something more connecting us all as the waves rhythmically sing their hymn and leave their little offerings of shells to decorate the shoreline.
